Brisbane Diabetes Education Services was founded in 2003 with the aim of offering accessable clinics for people with diabetes in the primary care and community sector, and access to quality evidence based education for health care professionals.
Services offered include:
- clinics based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and the northern Gold Coast
- Individual and group consultations for adults and adolescents with type 1 and type 2 diabetes
- insulin initiation and dose stabilisation
- blood glucose monitoring
- insulin pump therapy
- continuous glucose monitoring
- education for health care professionals
- public speaking
- consulting services including: health professional education and training, medical writing and development of guidelines and evidence based policies and procedures
Peta Tauchmann (RN (NP) CDE) founded Brisbane Diabetes Education Services in 2003 and has worked in diabetes education for over 25 years. As a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator she has expert knowledge and experience of diabetes and prides herself on her ability to help you live with diabetes.
